Workout Recap - Week 43

Sunday, October 18th – 10.10 mile run

Monday, October 19th – 3.03 miles of hill repeats

Tuesday, October 20th – 8.18 mile run

Wednesday, October 21st – 5.55 mile run

Thursday, October 22nd – 8.58 mile run

Friday, October 23rd – 8.08 mile run

Saturday, October 24th –  Rest Day

This was my first official training week for the marathon I registered for in January (yep, I pulled the plug on Wednesday and paid my registration fee, so you better believe I'm doing it ;)). The mileage is a little lower than I had been doing, but I'm sure my legs will appreciate it when my long runs start inching up higher and higher. I decided on the shorter days [on Mondays] I'll do hill repeats (seeing as it's a trail marathon and adding in vert should definitely be part of the training). Otherwise most of my runs will probably be on the roads (but that's normally how I train/ run and the race isn't super technical, so I'm sure it'll be okay). I swapped my rest day on Friday to Saturday because a friend of mine was running in a cross country invitational near LA and I went up to watch, but otherwise everything was by the book and smooth sailing.

How were your workouts this past week?
