Day 2 of #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas

Thanks so much for stopping by my corner of the InterWebs today. Whether you've been following along on my journey since I started this blog OVER TWELVE YEARS AGO or you stopped by for the first time today - WELCOME!

And no matter how long you've been visiting, you picked an AMAZING time to pop in because we're celebrating my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas {read my post announcing this series HERE if you don't know what I'm talking about}.

Today is Day 2 of my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas! And the prize today is pretty FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC! Although, to be honest, all of the prizes are absolutely AMAZEBALLS! If I could enter my own giveaways I'm pretty sure I would enter each and every one of them in this series (and somehow rig it so I'd win) because they are just that AWESOMESAUCE.

Up for grabs today are: 2 ROAD iD Prize Packs
(including a trucker hat and three stretch bands).

For today, DAY TWO, two winners will each receive a ROAD iD Trucker Hat and a set of three ROAD iD Stretch Bands.

When I started running I knew I needed to make sure I had safety nets in place (not only in case something happened, but also to alleviate the worry from my mom and hubby). One of my first running purchases (after shoes) was a ROAD iD

I guess you can tell I like some "wrist candy" ;)

I wish I could say nothing bad will ever happen to you, but I don't have a magical crystal ball that allows me to see into the future. The best thing to do is to pray that everything is rainbows and unicorns, but also prepare in case something unfortunate does occur. One way to be prepared (especially for us runners, bikers, adventurers, etc) is to have a ROAD iD. This little ID can talk for you if you are ever unable to talk for yourself. You can put all of your pertinent information on it (name, phone number, emergency contact, medical information, etc) just in case an accident does occur.
The brand's mission is two-fold: One, to educate outdoor enthusiasts about the importance of wearing ID. Two, to provide these athletes with innovative identification products that they will want to include as part of their gear. Their dream is to see the day where wearing ID is as common among athletes as wearing a seatbelt is among motorists.

For the past 5ish years I've been rocking the Sport ID (I have tiny wrists and those were the only ones I could small enough). I legit have seven colors (because you know I have to be #RunMatchy with my running gear, right?!).

I finally upgraded to the Elite ID a few months back and am STOKED! Not only do you get to cut the band as long as you need so it fits specifically on your wrist, but they also have fun badges you can add to customize your ID (I have one with a heart and one that says 'run')! Now if I could just get them to bring back to aqua/ turquoise colored band I'd be all set ;)

I normally don't wear it upside-down, but didn't want everyone having my personal
info... #CanNeverBeTooCareful

And before I get on with the giveaway, I have to brag a little more about this company. At ROAD iD, they truly believe in making a positive difference in the world. They mainly do this by creating awesome products that save lives and empower adventure, but they also love supporting causes they believe in and that share their mission. You see, giving back isn’t some secondary obligation - it’s a core value and a reason to exist. “Unicorns” is their pledge to donate a percentage of every order to a worthy organization, and since these donations cannot occur without your purchase, they let YOU DECIDE which charity benefits. In your shopping cart, simply select the charity closest to your heart and they do the rest. They have donated more than $1,000,000, and with your help, there’s plenty more where that came from!

Well, not only does ROAD iD offer wrist IDs, shoe IDs and even pet IDs, but they also have apparel! For this giveaway, they have offered up two prize packs - each with one of their new trucker hats and three of their logo stretchy bands! (PS The bands contain a "Goldilocks Guarantee"... Each size pack contains three band sizes to ensure a perfect fit.)

Entering this giveaway (along with the other #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas giveaways) is easy-peasy! Simply use the Rafflecopter widget listed below on the giveaway blog post and cross your fingers. Some entries are available daily so I'd HIGHLY recommend entering early and often. (Shoot, I would even go as far as suggesting you set an alarm to remind you to come back to this page every 24 hours so you can take advantage of as many entries as possible!)

a Rafflecopter giveaway Now, the nitty gritty details... All entries are verified, so please make sure to do whatever the required action for the entry is or it will be disqualified. I would hate for you to miss out on winning due to a technicality, so if you are going to click the option, make sure you do whatever it asks or a new, random winner will be selected in your place.

Also, this giveaway will last seven days, with the winners being picked (and notified) on the eighth day. The winners will have 24 hours to reply to the congratulations email from me to claim their prizes. That means, for this specific giveaway, it will end on December 8th at 11:59pm PST and the TWO winners will be chosen on December 9th.

And, finally, the winner must have a US mailing address. International shipping seems to cost an arm and a leg these days, and customs is a major headache, so to make it easier (and cheaper) on the brands who have offered up their products, the winners must live in United States of America (or at least have an address we can ship to within the US).

With that said, BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERS! And don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what is up next in my #12DaysOfCarleesChristmas (I promise you do NOT want to miss out on any of these giveaways!)!

PS Just in case you aren't one of the lucky winners, you can use THIS LINK for $5 off from now until December 29th (because EVERYONE is a WINNER in my book)! So go get your shop on and save a few dollars in the process!

  1. I have a great running belt that has an ID slot built in. I always throw my driver's license and insurance card in there when I'm out running. But a Road ID would be easier and more efficient.

  31. I always do my long runs or runs away from home with my ID, insurance card, and a credit card. When I go by my house, I tend to only take my phone and key. But about three years ago, my doctor got annoyed with me that I didn't wear a bracelet with my allergies, so I finally bought a Road ID. I never take it off. However, I know that the stretch bands only last for "so long" and that eventually my band is going to break because that happened to someone else I know.
