Day 1 of 12 Days of Carlee’s Christmas

Thanks so much for stopping by for the first day of my BIG giveaway! I am BEYOND BLESSED to work with some amazing companies who have offered up some of their awesome products. Not all of the giveaways are necessarily sponsored by the companies (meaning, some of the stuff I had at the house and wanted to spread the wealth), but even so, they are all companies I love and want to spread the word about.

Just a word of warning: Make sure to stop back daily as I will be having a new giveaway every day for the next ELEVEN days and would hate for you to miss out on any of them. Also, some of the entries are available daily (ie tweeting about the specific giveaway, pinning a picture on Pinterest, etc), so if it is an item you are super stoked on, I’d recommend entering as many times as possible.

Day 1 - Selfie Stick

I know some people are ANTI-Selfie Sticks (as I once was), but I have seen them come in handy on more than a few occasions, so am coming around to them. They are banned at some locations (I know, for example, Disneyland won’t allow them), but for the hubby and I, we have found it to be super beneficial when we are camping or hiking and no one else is around. [PS We are still getting the hang of it, so please don't judge our photos!]

Oops... You could see the shadow in this one

They work great when you want a little more background in your shot

Campfire selfies... Don't mind if we do :)
Kern River Camping Trip - Part 3

I received this selfie stick when I attended the SHAPE Blogger Meet & Tweet a few weeks back. Since I already have one I thought I’d share it with YOU. It’s a super nice one in that it you don't have to deal with any cords or cables because it easily pairs via your phone's bluetooth. Once it's linked, just use the button on the handle to take all the pictures you want.

  10. I'm going to say PRO, b/c I've never had one before, so I definitely would like to try one out!

  11. It is a struggle but I think pro - except while running. Ain't nobody got time for that!

  12. I was definitely anti-selfie stick for a long time but I think it would be really cool to have one. I do a lot of stuff solo and it's nice to not always have to ask people to take my photo ;)

  13. Proselfiestick! Just wish I had one :)

  16. Not sure since I've never taken a selfie.

  17. I *was* anti-selfie stick...but then my daughter started asking for one...and I started thinking more positively about it!

    ReplyDelete

  19. I have always believed in living in the moment and not hiding behind the camera...however I have 2 amazing daughters that I want to take pictures of all the time! Having a selfie stick would be so much fun! - Shari

  21. I am totally PRO selfie stick...we have captured some great "family" pictures by using our friend's. Would love to have our own.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I always thought they seemed a bit much, however, after seeing how much more a person can capture in the photo, I'd give it a try. You take good shots, so maybe that is one of your tricks!

  23. Pro selfie stick.... as long as the user is aware of their surroundings! šŸ˜Š

  24. I so need this! My teenage daughter has banned me from taking group selfies since I am the worst at them & my arms are too short! Thank you for sharing, Carlee!

  25. I used to be anti-selfie stick, but they are so darn handy!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am of no opinion. They could be good, but I just haven't used one yet!

  27. Pro... I think. They're annoying when people don't pay attention to how long they are and hit people with them... but they provide some great selfie shots! :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I used to be anti-selfie stick, but one of my friends has one and we always have so much fun taking group photos!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Used to be anti selfie stick but as a runner I want one now lol!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I've never used one, but I can see how they'd be handy when you're out in the great outdoors. I hate when I see them in crowded public spaces though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This would definitely help for better background shots!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm more neutral selfie stick. I'm not big on them in sometimes, but they definitely have their useful purpose. They can be annoying when people dont think, but that can go for anything. They are definitely nice to get shots not so close up.

  33. I've never tried one, but I bet my daughters would love it!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Pro, for solo pics with more background

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am Pro Selfie stick, I think they are great when your travelling by your self, out with friends, and are great for group photos when you have arms that aren't long enough to take a selfie! Definently love them!

  36. I'm pro selfie stick; anti people who use them inconsiderately.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I've never used one, but I'm pro because I have short arms.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am anti (and anti-selfie) - this is for a friend! =)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not exactly a pro but i'm not anti for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've never used one but I've got 3 kids in various ages so I know it would help us get good family selfies. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I have never used a selfie stick. Would love to start!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am very mixed about the selfie stick and just pictures in general. I love to have those memories, and a selfie stick would be great so you can have the better angle and make the memories that much better. But I must admit, when seeing them actually used, I do sniffle out a little chuckle. I guess I am pro selfie stick, but I always feel a little silly when I am in one. The end picture though...#priceless
I would love to have one of my own to step up my memory making game.

  52. Pro and I have it on my christmas list!

    ReplyDelete
  53. i've used it once and it was cool, but i feel like i am doing a-okay using my own arms... esp mid-race! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I don't mind them, as long as they don't interfere with someone else's "experience." We visited Yellowstone this summer, and people had them out blocking other people. That was kinda intrusive.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I've never used one but would love to try. I will say some people get extremely annoying with them.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Pro, duh!! Thanks for the giveaway!

  57. While it's a little funny at first, I think it's a great way to capture moments when you're by yourself. I remember people running with them during the WDW Half this year - won't be seeing them again next month! haha
