Yummy
I went to the grocery store on Tuesday to pick up a few things (peanut butter, yogurt, etc) and I saw a sale that caught my eye. In the peanut butter (mind you, the Vons I shop at is relatively small so things are in random isles) I saw a sale on Snack Packs. I don’t think I have bought pudding since I have been living on my own, so normally I would just over look it, but for some reason, I thought I would stop and check them out. I picked up a 4 pack of Tapioca and BOY am I happy I did. I forgot hoe much I like pudding. Honestly, I don’t remember the last time I have had pudding, but it is yummy. Twenty five cents a pudding is well worth it in my book (and if I am feeling ambitious this week I may go in and buy another pack to stock up on while they are having their sale). Eating it just made me feel like such a kid. Not that I remember much of my childhood, but you always see the commercials of kids trading their lunches and it just brought me back to a time like that… Hehe. I’m so not old, but from the sounds of this blog you would think I was a grandma or something. What treats make you think of childhood?!

Evening Off
Tonight is my evening off. I was originally supposed to have a tour at the Ronald McDonald House (it is a requirement before I can start volunteering), but I was called at about 3:45 and asked to reschedule. I am a little disappointed, because I really wanted to start volunteering soon, but at the same time, not all that disappointed. Since I started to run a week and a half ago I haven’t really had an evening to just relax (even though I see running as relaxing, at least for right now). I am also glad to take the night off of running because my knee has been aching for the last couple days. It feels like I hyperextended it (I did it a couple times during cheerleading and also soccer, so I know what that feels like). I don’t know if I actually over extended it or if it is the knee that does all the absorbing of bumps when I am biking and running. Who knows, but I think a night off will do it well. (I have been icing it, heating it, elevating it, etc, so hopefully it is on it’s way to a 100% recovery).

Found Again
I have been jammin’ to my iPod lately at work, seeing as I am without the internet to stream the radio. I have recently rediscovered some music that I haven’t listened to lately. One band that I had found again is The Juliana Theory. It was an unexpected find, seeing that I never really got into them the first time I listened to them years ago, but now I am digging them. It is always fun to listen to music you haven’t heard in a while, maybe you should try it!

New pictures are up
I posted new photos, so check them out. They start on June 30th (when Ryan and Todd went to a Firewire Surfboard demo and rode some boards) and then it is mostly of 4th of July. Nothing too new or exciting going on, but thought I would still try to keep everyone up to date on the goings on in the life of Carlee.

Running
Just incase you were curious, I am still running daily. Today was the 6th day of my running. I thought it would be cooler in the morning, but since I slept in till 10 and didn't get out ther until about 10:30 the heat had already started. I still was able to finish my mile, just a little sweatier :). I decided that this first month would be a month of just forming the habit and getting out every day. Next month I plan on working on distance and time. I am really having fun. I think the reason is because I have an end goal. It's not like I am running to lose weight or to even get in shape or something, it is to meet a goal, to ACCOMPLISH a goal - run an entire half marathon! I am stoked on it! YAY!! GO ME!! Haha, I am not self centered, I am just excited that I am sticking with this!!
Flights
I remembered today that I still need to book my flight back for Stacey's wedding in October. Currently I have a flight back in September for Cara's wedding and a flight back in December for Christmas. Ryan told me that we may have another wedding to go to in August (but with him going to Japan and getting back 3 days before the other wedding I am not sure if he will be up for it). I guess I will need to start looking for cheap flights again. At least I was able to use frequent flyer miles for my Christmas flight and it only cost me $10. I am hoping that maybe I will be able to get some more frequent flyer miles that will help with this flight too... We shall see
Internet hopefuls
I am hoping to have the Internet at work by this week. I guess Jonna (my supervisor) heard Kyle (the President) going into Bob's (our Tech guy) office and told him on Thursday to make sure to turn it back on. I didn't have it on Friday yet, but I am hoping no later than Wednesday (Bob will be up at our north office, in Riverside, on Monday so I know if I don't have it when I go in Monday morning the earliest I will get it is Tuesday). It is just a hassle because it is like even on my lunch break I can't look up the weather or anything, grrrrr. Oh well, enough of me whining. Just thought I would update everyone on the status.
