ReplyDeleteGreen tea, SOS, oatmeal 1 hour before the run.
ReplyDeleteVega Energizer (sugar free) 30 mins before the run.
40 mins into the run, Vega hydrator/SOS, honey stinger chews
...and every hour after that, pocket fuel.
I'm down to try these if they make me fast like you.
Ezekiel Bread with 1 tbs natural peanut butter and half a banana in the morning before my run. Just getting into longer distances so I haven't actually tried any gels or chews. I'm interested in testing some out though. On my longest run i did bring a small packet of fruit snacks.

ReplyDeleteI've never tried these. I've tried all manner of other things, and some disagree with my tummy (the blackberry Hammer gels) and others don't (any kind of gel or Gu or Clif Shot in vanilla).
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to win these! I just bought my first pack--blueberry--at my local running store this past week and plan to try them out before my 16 miler tomorrow. I'm training for my first marathon and really hope to incorporate these into my training/fueling plan!!! :)

ReplyDeleteI've been eating Go Macro bars before long runs (I won some in a giveaway), but I'd love to try Pro Bars. I've eaten everything from oatmeal to pop tarts to granola bars but I do some fasted, too.

ReplyDeleteLove the Clif Shot Blocks, Honey Stinger Waffles and Bonk Breakers. Gu's work on my shorter distance but have learned I can't stomach them for my longer runs!

ReplyDeleteA combo of sorts is what I like to use when running: squeezable applesauce banana blend pouches, honey stinger cherry cola flavored chews (heck it's my opportunity to have "soda" since I don't like soda) and obviously Probar chews. Strawberry is my fave too!
